Good Morning OOB Program

Home » Department » Police Department » Good Morning OOB Program

The Old Orchard Beach Police Department is proud to sponsor the ‘Good Morning OOB’ program, which is designed to assist senior citizens and adults living with disabilities in our community. The program aims to support our seniors in maintaining an independent lifestyle, providing families with the reassurance that their loved ones will have a daily source of contact.

A member of the OOB Police Department will call 5 days a week, between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, to say “Good Morning”. If contact cannot be made by telephone, an officer will come to check the welfare of the participant.

Who can participate?

  • Must be a resident of Old Orchard Beach.
  • Must agree to make a daily telephone call.
  • Must agree to let us know when you plan to be away.
  • Must be a senior citizen (62+) or an adult with disabilities who could be living alone, does not have someone to check in on them regularly, or are at risk of sudden illnesses, falls, accidents, and social isolation.

For more information or an application, please call 207-937-5837.
