The Town of Old Orchard Beach Police Department wants your help in fighting crime by taking part in the Camera Registry Program (CRP) The CRP allows residents and business owners to register the locations of their video surveillance systems within the Town.  When a crime occurs, police will be able to identify the locations of nearby cameras and enlist the assistance of the community to help officers collect video evidence and follow up on crimes.

Through the program, the OOBPD will be able to directly contact CRP registrants who are using video in an area where crime has occurred.  Police would ask CRP registrants to check their video surveillance system for a specific date or time for video that may show activity involved in a crime, such as a getaway car, direction of travel or person of interest.  If any evidence is found, the resident or business owner can contact the Investigations Division by calling 207-934-4911 to make arrangements for video retrieval.

The program and registration are completely voluntary and there is no charge associated with the program.  Registering with the program does not give OOBPD direct access to your camera.  You may request to be deleted from the program at any time.  Your information will be kept completely private and will only be accessible by investigators of OOBPD.
