During 2013, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provided the Town with the original set of revised preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM).  Since that time, formal adoption of the preliminary FIRMs has experienced delays with one reason being the town’s partially successful appeal of the data shown on the preliminary FIRMs.  Now that the town appeal has concluded, FEMA is continuing the adoption process with a tentative adoption time of Summer/Fall 2023.  The preliminary FIRMs are available to view on the Town’s website using our online GIS mapping system, through the Proposed Map Amendment Resources link in the blue box on this page, and at the Code and Planning Office at Old Orchard Beach Town Hall.
