Duties & Responsibilities:
The Old Orchard Beach Planning Board reviews proposed development plans, Subdivisions, Conditional Use applications and Zoning Ordinance amendments. The Board works closely with zoning and subdivision regulations to ensure all development in Old Orchard Beach is in compliance with the comprehensive plan and local land-use regulations. The Planning Board has a workshop and a regular meeting each month, and holds site walks and public hearings as needed. The Planning Board has five members and two alternates. All members and alternates are appointed for a term of two years.
Submission Deadlines:
The Planning Board has strict submission deadlines that all applicants must adhere to. In order to be placed on the next Planning Board agenda, your materials must be received by the Planning Department no later than 4PM 17 days prior to the next regularly scheduled meeting which occurs on the second Thursday of the month.
