The Transfer Station is opened Wednesday and Saturdays unless there is a snow event that requires all employees to assist in snow removal.
Wednesday – Friday 7:30 am – 12:30 pm, gate closes at 12:15 pm
Saturday – 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, gate closes at 3:45 pm
The Transfer Station Will be open the First two Weeks in January for Christmas Trees Only!
About the Facility:
No permit or annual fee is required to use the Public Works Transfer Facility.
The Public Works Transfer Station accepts brush, grass, leaves, and Christmas trees only. For more information on the Public Works Transfer Station, please contact the Public Works Department at (207) 934-2250.
Commercial use of the Public Works Transfer Station Facility is not permitted, with the exception of leaves, grass and yard clippings. Commercial entities may dispose of leaves, grass and yard clippings that originate from Old Orchard Beach locations only.
Trash haulers, contractors, landscapers or any person/company being paid to dispose of refuse other than listed above may not use this facility.
